A lovely hotel in a quiet area close to shops metro etc. More of a business hotel than a tourist one, and all the better for it. Spacious and modern amenities, good variety at breakfast. The friendly staff helped make our stay easier. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be staying there again next time we visit Barcelona.

Really nice hotel with perfect location but yet quit and calm area. Close to many great restaurants and bars such as Tragaluz, Trobador, Bice, Cerveseria Catalanya and Dry Martini. Perfect busstop in front of hotel. Would stay here again

Very nice and cosy hotel. Located in the centre of Barcelona but nevertheless quiet, only a 20 minutes walk to the Ramblas. Very good was that they serve breakfast until 11 a.m.

The accommodations in Barcelona were perfect. Good location, relatively quiet and close to all the sites. The people there were very helpful and extremely courteous.

This hotel was very comfortable, we didn't want a hotel on the Ramblas so this was perfect for us. Ask for a room above the first floor as that's where we were and we could hear the chairs scraping across the floor in the dining room below at breakfast time. The air-con unit was a bit noisy and may disturb light sleepers, but when we were there, it wasn't too warm so we could turn it off at night. Its a 5 minute walk to the diagonal metro and we bought 10 unlimited journey tickets for 5.8 euros.

We had a great time in Barcelona, the hotel that you provided for us had excellent facilities, friendly staff and was located central, in a nice part of the city. Many Thanks for all your help. I would not hesitate using your services again, and probably will as I enjoyed Barcelona so much, I intend to visit the city again soon!

Very good location - about 15-20 mins from La Ramblas and in a nice area. Hotel was "OK" - adequate rather than really nice. Room was quite small but fine. Dining room wasn't great but food was fine. Would stay there again based on location and a reasonable price.

Late Oct 2002, great location on the edge of the centre, easy walking to shops, metro, and touristic bus. 15 mins walk to Las Ramblas. Friendly staff, clean room, nice breakfast; good Tapas Bar for evening dining right next door.

Very nice good-sized rooms that have recently been refurbished, but surprisingly no tea / coffee making facilities as would be expected in a UK 4 star hotel. Bathroom was a good size and well equipped Staff friendly & helpful. Generally a quiet hotel but refurbishment to adjoining building did result in some noise during our stay but it shouldn’t be a problem in the future. Breakfast were excellent, good choice of food including English Breakfast option, all good quality, and they serve until 11:00, so you don’t need to miss breakfast if you need a lie-in after a late night out. Restaurant did not open Saturday or Sunday evenings and did not serve fish on Monday. As non-meat eaters this meant going out for food, but there is a wide choice within 10-15 minutes walk or further a field. The Hotel is about 15 minutes from Ramblas, and central to other Barcelona highlights such as Sagrada Familia & Parc Guell.

The location was perfect, right near the top of the Ramblas but far enough away from the noise of more touristy areas. The staff were attentive and friendly. The room was a bit on the small side but it was perfectly adequate.

Breakfast good, hotel clean, rooms more two star than four (travelodge type) pleasant 15 min walk to playa de catalonia square.

The Hotel Balmoral was clean, comfortable and friendly. The only problem we experienced was the quality of the food in the restaurant. It was poorly cooked and extremely unappetising. I would suggest evening meals be taken at one of the nearby retaurants.

Nice, comfortable hotel in good location, only 20 minutes walk from Las Ramblas. Only complaint was small and few elevators. Otherwise a very good hotel. Helpful, friendly staff. I had a very good stay.
