| 07.11.2003 Ray (Hertford) A great hotel, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and a wonderful warm indoor swimming pool - the kids loved it. Very convenient location close to the beach and shops and going in late October was so quiet and pleasant. A train ride for less than 3 euros direct to Barcelona riding along the sea and every train arriving and leaving on time. A great short break and I shall be booking again for Christmas |

| 05.11.2003 irene (durham) We found the hotel's breakfast very poor. The morning rolls weren't very fresh and the choice was limited. Despite trying for 20 minutes to buy a drink at the bar, we had to give up and go out for a drink as the service was so slow. The hotel was also very noisy late at night and we had problems sleeping. |

| 18.06.2003 jim and lyn (nottm england) what a great hotle clean posh just so great we wil be coming again were can you get a great hotel for this amount of money very good value , calella is a lovely place there are graet bars and loys of good places to eat ,the trip was exspencive going down in taxie 65 euros but going back to barcelona we took the train 2.5 euros each a great trip on the train wish we had done that going down. we will be back ,, just to say the food in the hotel is very good many thanks to all concerned in makeing our holiday good thanks, |

| 16.06.2003 Jouko Kuisma (Espoo, Finland) Booked through Sasha for one night only. Were on a trip around Europe. The place had EXCELLENT price vs. quality so we ended up staying there for two nights... Calella has a great beach but the city itself is not very special. A good tapas bar was impossible to find. Also take into account that driving to/from Barcelona city takes considerable time (around 1 hours in rush hour traffic) with your own car. Bernat's car park is small and leaving car there felt risky but otherwise the hotel was a very positive experience all in all. |

NO VIEWS OF THE SEA BUT ONLY A COUPLE OF MINUTES WALK AWAY. GOOD AND CHEAP TRAIN SERVICE TO BARCELONA. ONLY A FEW EURO BY TAXI TO STATION OR FREE PARKING.

Rooms more than adequate, and we had a balcony overlooking the pool area. Breakfast was huge - too much choice really. Plenty of restaurants nearby serving a variety of food at a variety of prices to suit every pocket. Callela is a good place for a beach holiday if that is all you want. Thanks Sasha. |

I have spent a lot of time in well known hotels in the UK and I can truly say that Bernat II is as good as any of these! Brilliantly friendly, English speaking, staff welcomed us to a very bright and clean hotel. For the price paid it was superb and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
I will be recommending the hotel to friends and family and will not think twice about returning soon. |

| 05.04.2003 kev morris (Leicester England) Very nice hotel in a very mixed resort,good base for trips into Barcelona by train along the coast.We went in April 2003 bed and breakfast only but after looking around the resort we decided to eat in the hotel,excellent 4 course meal, waiter service and nice wine for 32 euros for the two of us.Nice room with Tv minibar, fridge,aircon and heating.The only thing we didn't like was the pillows long hard and thin.All the staff including the room cleaners were excellent and very efficient and made it a very enjoyable stay.Many thanks all at Bernat II |

Minus points - (a)the indoor pool was closed without any explanation/apology (b)nothing was done to keep the breakfast buffet sausages and bacon hot (c)bar often unattended, presumably due to low staff numbers outside high season. |
