| Hotel Description |
Cataluna hotel is situated in the very heart of Barcelona. Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, wonderful dining, shopping and entertainment are all within easy reach. Rooms are simple but very clean, comfortable and well equipped. There is a bathroom, phone, TV with local channels only and central heating. Please note, that Cataluna hotel does not have air-conditioned rooms. Breakfast is served at a different hotel right across the street, which is sort of cool, like going to a cafe for breakfast. Cataluna may not be the fanciest hotel in Barcelona but it is comfortable and with its unbeatable central location, it is a great choice for a budget traveler. |

| 05.07.2004 wilhelmina M.G. (Netherlands) We enjoy our stay in hotel Cataluna, as you already mentioned the location is perfect, right in the center, near subway, busstation and cabs. Easy to get there, it's simply but will do only in the middle of the summer when the temperature is very high it would be like an ofen ther is no airco. And the breakfast is very simply, when you leave early to catch your train or plane there is no breakfast at all , but you have paid for it. That's not so good. | | |
| 06.06.2004 Margaret (Australia) If you want a central Hotel close to the Ramblas this is a good choice. Only complaint was that breakfast was not until quite late and if you have an early flight you miss out. I think all hotels should start breakfast from 6.30 - 7am. | | |

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and of course the hotel is ideally situated. I really enjoyed my visit to Barcelona. The only problem was that it was far too short. I can't wait to go again and see more of the city.

| 22.05.2003 Paul (New Jersey, USA ) I thought this hotel was great value and the location was just ideal - so central and close to all main attractions. Rooms were clean and basic but adequate. You may need ear plugs on Saturday nights but you should not be home early anyway in a city like Barcelona! I would definitely stay at the Hotel Catlunya again. Don't take a taxi from the airport - the aerobus is perfect and leaves you about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. | | |

Very centrally located on a pedestrianised street which makes this much quieter than many other Barcelona venues. No air-conditioning may mean that rooms are extremely hot in the summer months.
