| 16.05.2007 Mike (USA) I've stayed at this hotel a few times and have found it to be clean, with friendly staff, The location along La Rambla is terrific -- just steps away from the bustling street scene. As an interesting note (if you do stay here) you may notice covered-up white objects on the ceiling of your room located directly over the bed. They appear to be covered with some form of wallpaper or sheet paper. Only during my second stay did I realize what these were. Some of the sheet paper had been torn away to reveal mirrors over the bed! I would imagine the mirrors were installed during the frisky 70's and were covered rather than removed. They're not very noticeable; more of a curiosity than anything. | | |
| 29.07.2004 Tim Whitwham (England) Very pleasant hotel with helpful staff. Comfortable bed and reasonable en suite facilities. Continental breakfast fine. Great location for Barcelona's varied attractions. Why do continental hotels not have tea/coffee facilities in the rooms? | | |
| 19.07.2004 peggy (germany) The hotel is very central, clean and the personal friendly. The room we had on the backside was dark (the jalousie can`t be open). Permant loudness of machines in the backyard. | | |
| 22.06.2004 Peter (London) Basic but very nice, quiet and central | | |
| 04.06.2004 R. Meij (Netherlands) Clean rooms, quiet, only the room had no window. | | |
| 07.04.2004 gazzaputt (London, England) Excellent hotel. In a excellent location close to all the sights. Metro is 50 yards away. Rooms are clean and bathrooms excellent. Would advise though to pay for the air con. Even in April we found it warm. Breakfast is also excellent. | | |
| 31.03.2004 CK (Norway) Value for money in terms of location. The room was basic but clean, could need some "noise-isolation", staff was very pleseant and helpful. Would stay here again :-) | | |
| 29.10.2003 ziggy (UK) Nice clean Hotel, excellent location.
Would have prefered a non smoking room. | | |
| 25.06.2003 Al Green (London) Nice little hotel. Clean, comfy, friendly, but best of all in a fantastic location. Much, much better if you can get hold of a balcony room. We were put in a room with a window onto an internal lightwell for the first night, which wasn't great (decor also a bit cheesy). When a balcony room became free they happily moved us and it was great. Overlooking the cafes, watching the street entertainers, music wafting in - brilliant. Double glazing also kept most of noise out if you wanted it to. Definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you can get a balcony room. | | |
| 05.06.2003 Katharine (Hythe, Kent) Hotel De L'Arc is very central and is good value for money. The room we had was quiet and comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly and hepful. The breakfast was ok (croissants, bread, orange juice, coffee etc). We would definitely stay here if we came back to Barcelona. | | |
| 30.05.2003 Divakar (USA) Our stay at the hotel was pleasant and the staff were quite accomodating. | | |
