| 17.05.2004 Rennie (Guildford, Surrey, UK) This hotel is in a very convenient location for seeing most of Barcelona.
The air conditioning works well and is not too noisy. The rooms are also quiet, especially given the location.
Breakfast was plentiful and the service very good but low key.
The least impressive aspect of the hotel was the entrance lobby, but as you don't sleep or eat in it, what does that matter?
We would stay there again.
| 03.11.2003 Diane Cooper (UK) 3rd November 2003, We have just returned from a lovely few days in Barcelona,
and we were very pleased with our hotel, the location was excellent and the
breakfasts were very good and set us up nicely for our busy days exploring!

| 28.10.2003 David (England) A functional rather impersonal hotel in the centre of the city. The hotel is on a very busy street so I would recommend you try and get a room at the back. Nice/clean rooms and a good breakfast however the hotel appeared to be understaffed during our stay which meant the staff on duty were over worked and had little time for visitors. | | |
| 27.10.2003 Reef (England) Good location, right next to the Cathedral, Gothic Quarter, Metro short walk to La Ramblas (or tube it). Rooms are fine clean, quiet. Good position to explore from, and plenty of cafe's and restaurants within the area. | | |
| 21.10.2003 Hanne C. Olstad (Norway) We arrived at Guitart Almirante thursday evening. The room was OK, but not much moore. The information about the hotel said that each room had: "a balcony or terrace". We did'nt even had a posibility to se daylight from our room. The window had a grey color that we could'nt se out and when we tried to open it our "wiew" was into a "backyard" with big aircontition-machines and a nasty smell from several kitchen facing the same "backyard". This can't be called a balcony or a terrace. "The staffs prime aim to offer maximum service to its clients" is as we experianced it not the right way to say it. The receptionist should have a moore "smiling face" to its clients. Except the hotel and the bad weather, we had a great time in Barcelona. | | |
| 24.09.2003 Kerrie (Coventry, England) We visited Barcelona in September 2003 and stayed in the Almirante Hotel. Whilst the hotel is in a fabulous location, within easy reach of Las Ramblas, Playa Catalunya and the Port, we felt that the room was very small and dark as no natural light - where was the balcony/terrace as in the hotel description? The walls are quite thin also and we were 'entertained' by some lads on a stag weekend - lots of singing etc til the small hours. Breakfast is good - sets you up for the day - plenty of choice. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona who wants to be within easy reach of what the city has to offer. | | |
| 28.07.2003 matthew budd (england) The hotel was nice enough but we expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel. There was a distinct lack of character throughout the hotel and the rooms were a bit bland.
The food offered at breakfast was good and certainly up to standard, however the size of the breakfast dinng area was too small for a hotel of this size and on 2 occassions there was insufficient room when we arrived (the first time we waited for a table, on the second we had to join another guest).
The staff were friendly and helpful as we would have expected.
On the whole the stay was adequate but we were a little disappointed for the above reasons.

| 17.06.2003 Philippe (Belgium) Very good hotel, very good service, ideally located in the center of Barcelona.
Too bad the breakfast room is quite small if the hotel is fully booked.
| 07.06.2003 sarah (bristol) this was an excellent hotel . centrally located , friendly staff , high standard of room . we had a great time and highly recommend this hotel to everyone . | | |
| 31.05.2003 Gordon (Devon, England) Very clean, very central, very friendly BUT basic facilities in small rooms.
For a city centre hotel at the price it is o.k.
