| 12.03.2004 CathyH (Newcastle, England) The hotel was very good - almost exactly as advertised in the blurb. It is about equi-distant between La Rambla, Casa Batilo, and the Barceloneta area so is ideally placed for exploring on foot. The breakfast buffet has everything you can imagine (including wine, not for me at that time in the morning!) and the hotel staff are pleasant and friendly. Our only complaint was that we were chilly but Barcelona did have it's first snow for four years whilst we were there so it wasn't surprising with all that marble around, and the weather warmed up after a few days. Another minor complaint was that the soundproofing between rooms wasn't as good as it could have been, but then we did have loud early-risers in the room next to us. When we go back to Barcelona, which we hope to do soon, we will almost certainly stay at the Hotel Laetiana Palace again. |

| 04.11.2003 L (Toronto) The people at this hotel were remarkably helpful and considerate.
One of us had our purse stolen early in the trip-WATCH OUT FOR PICKPOCKETS- SOMEONE WAS ROBBED EACH NIGHT >and the staff went out of their way to assist us.
The rooms are quite small but immaculate- the bathroom was lovely and modern.
The location was convenient to shopping and food, as well as transportation. I think we would stay again. |

| 29.10.2003 Max T (Los Angeles) If you are accustomed to Hotel accomodations in the U.S., you will initially be taken back at the size of (or lack of) the rooms. It is however quite evident that comparing it to hotel rooms in a country where everything is supersized is not fair. The hotel staff is very helpful and the location is unbeatable, which justifies the slightly higher room rates compared to similar hotels in other areas. Overall, I will highly recommend the location, but before booking, you need to re-align your expectations if you are from this side of the Atlantic. Barcelona is indeed amazing. |

| 20.08.2003 Jason (Bridgend, Wales) We had an excellent time at this hotel. We were on the second floor at the rear of the hotel overlooking the ancient city walls, the cathedral is nearby which is stunning. The air conditioned room was very welcoming after the august heat of this amazing city. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent. Highly recommended! |

| 25.07.2003 Aaron Feldman (Israel) The hotel is well located. The people of the reception are very nice and helpfull. There is a lot to improve on maintenance and room service.
If you will show further interest I will gladely detail.
In general we were satisfyd. |

| 07.07.2003 Verena (Switzerland) Great location, but miserable service, very incompetent& unfriendly staff at Front desk. Only one clerk for 10 people!!! The room on the picture must be their presidential suite, since all the other rooms ( we moved twice) were tiny to get claustrophobic. The rates that you/ the hotel offers are exorbitant for what you get. Travellers come and expect certain standards especially in a 4* hotel at 200Euros per night!! There were plenty of guests complaining at the reception as well, so my comments must be definitely a duplicate of you having heard about the Laetana Palace. |

| 11.05.2003 Jo (Herts., England) Our bedroom on the fifth floor was incredibly tiny - one step out of bed into the wardrobe one side and on the other side out of the window! The bathroom didn't match the bedroom at all and was very 5 star, which was great. Staff very helpful and friendly and the hotel has a good location. Barcelona is a wonderful place for a weekend, or a short break, with an incredible amount to see and do. |

| 02.04.2003 Bruce (UK) Further to our recent visit arranged by you.
We found the hotel very comfortable and ideally situated for most
attractions.
The bacon served at breakfast was always nearly raw so it was mostly left on
the hotplate. The noise from the outside traffic was quite high as well as
the rumble of the metro underneath. Our requested requirements were ignored
and so instead of the top floor we found ourselves on the second floor,
closer to the noise. Apart from this the hotel was very clean, rooms were
kept tidy and the staff were helpful. Regrettably we would not use this
hotel again due to noise. |
| |
| 20.03.2003 tsetsegmaa (scotland) This hotel was very well positioned with access to the metro and a good bus service near the hotel.Bedrooms were well equipped and although there was no noise from the road the rumble from the metro was very annoying on the 2nd floor. However we had no problem when we transferred to the 5th floor.
All the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful.I would recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay in Barcelona. |

| 20.03.2003 Maureen (UK) The hotel was in a good position and the staff exceedingly friendly. |

| 27.11.2002 Sepito (Finland) "...and excellent breakfast". |
| |
| 25.11.2002 Sepito (Finland) Laietana was even better than we expected. Good service and excellent service. The hotel is not in the place where is the star in the location map but don't be affraid it is not too far to walk from Aerobus stop. Location is excellent for city traveller. |

| 19.10.2002 Art and Kathy Krull (Mukilteo, Washington, United States) Our stay at the Laietana Palace was very enjoyable. Our room was clean and the staff was extremely friendly helpful. The hotels location is excellent for walking to many of Barcelona's wonderful attractions. |
| |
| 28.09.2002 The Golux (Scotland) Clean attractive hotel. Well located for the tourist, especially for strolling round the old town (Barri Xine/Barri Gotic). From our 3rd floor room we could clearly hear the rumble of the metro running under the hotel every few minutes. Room heating didn't work tho' this would not usually be a problem in warm Barcelona. |
| |
| 20.08.2002 Jacqui (England) many thanks for all your help with our trip to Barcelona. We had a wonderful weekend, and our accommodation was perfect. Barcelona is a lovely city, and I would love to return some day. I will remember your help when planning my next trip. Thank you again. |

| |
| 18.06.2002 Benjamin (US) An exceptional hotel. Breakfast is excellent and the staff is very friendly
and helpful. Our room was a corner room and is the only one with
two balconies. I would
stay there again if I went back.
