Good Points: excellent breakfast, quiet location, friendly, helpful staff, handy tapas bars, restaurants & shops close by. Barcelona - unmissable. Would stay here again. Bad Points: noisy room if on inside of core of hotel - air con. Beware of rip off taxi's, dirty carpets and scuffs on room walls, whirpool bath not working.

An excellent base of operations for Barcelona. A decent jotel in a QUIET neighborhood. It was a 40 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia, which we did fine, and a 30 minute walk to Park Guell. The parking at the hotel also was key for us, and reasonably priced. It was an easy shot to airport as well. A bit expensive, but worth it.

Nice, laid back hotel,and very easy to get to city centre by Metro. Parents might appreciate being warned that there is porn channel on tv.

The Hotel Mitre is very comfortabl;e and well apppointed. It is situated in a very quiet backstreet away from the hub bub of the city - hoever, it is alittle too far out to walk into the city, but is on ly a tube ride away. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful - everyone seemed to have a good command of the English language. Our room was really nice, spacious and we were lucky enough to have a balcony also! The breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice, with something to suit everyone - I highly recommend the chocolate croissants!!! We had a lovely time and would not hesitate in recommending the hotel to anyone. Claire Ball and Rob Davies

Great budget hotel. The location, whilst being away from the main attractions was good as it was quiet, which was especially suited to us as we have 2 small children. The tube station was only 2 minutes away, and this only about 10 mins to Playa Catalunya - the tubes were fast and reliable. The Hotel staff were really helpful and friendly and all spoke english. A great breakfast set us up for the day. We would definitely visit this Hotel again.

The hotel was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. Our twin bedded room had TV and nice bathroom with whirlpool. Good buffet style breakfast with lots of choice.Pleasant staff. The nearest metro station was El Putxet (2 mins from hotel on line to Catalunya)Wish we had known this sooner as first of all we walked a long way to Metro Lesseps. In February it rained both days we were there so important to have a nice room to come back to.

Very good hotel, central yet quiet. Also well served by bus numbers 16 and 17 to Placa Catalunya. Nice rooms, very good breakfast, served until 11h00 am. Hotelstaff speaks English which is not common in Spain.

A cheap & comfortable hotel in a very pleasant area. Room was excellent and a good breakfast served until late morning. Underground station round the corner - about 6 stops to Placa de Catalunya (10 minutes, 1 euro)

Everything went more than fine in Barcelona. Hotel was even better than expected. I really appreciate your sense of service and will be very pleased to use your professional skills in a very near future.

Our stay in Barcelona was great thanks in part to the very nice accommodations at the Hotel Mitre.

The hotel was functional. It served us well in its location, and a comfortable place to sleep. It is not a "charming" hotel where you would want to spend any time but that got us up and out. Personnel were helpful. It seemed expensive for what it was but I am only comparing to hotels outside of Barcelona and since we were there during the National Aids Conference (not by design) we felt lucky to have a place at all! Seemed more like a business accomodation than tourist.
