26.06.2007 Brett (Torquay, UK) Genuinly loud and noisy hotel, walls are paper thin so whatever goes on gets heard. Sayin that if its a cheap all inclusive your lookin for that has a pool and free test tubes of spirit all day long (til 1 am) then go for it. OH and agree with Tara, MUST visit the restaurant GRINGO JOE'S - absolutely fantastic british restaurant that sells just about anything, and has english staff that'll really look after you. I went there every morning for the breakfasts ;)

18.09.2006 shug (glasgow) just spent 2 weeks in this nightmare of a hotel food was RAW entertainment non existent staff worse than useless an absolute horror from start to finish. if your'e going all inclusive take lots of money. You'll need it. Beware of Barrhead Travel and their Wonderful holiday package, your going to Fawlty Towers but it wont be funny.

25.09.2003 Sukhy (UK) I had a great time in Calella this summer. The beach is less than 5 min walk away and can be seen clearly from the hotel balcony! The train from Barcelona-Sants simply goes along the Costa Brava, takes a little over an 1 hr (though u have to change at Mataro) and costs less than 3 euros. The hotel was clean and pleasant with activities running all day including archery, water polo and live music - though I spent most of the time out in the evenings. Contrary to what some people have written, the hotel was not overly noisy. Guests included families as well as groups of teenagers from mainly UK/Germany/Scandanavia. Shops do alot of business at night when its cooler and everyone comes out, which created a buzzing atmosphere.... especially with so many attractive women roaming! Bars charged about 3-4 euros per bottle of lager. I recommend the 'Maui' cocktail bar which has a Hawaain theme and staff literally 'shoot' free tequila shots into customers mouths with water guns - great fun. On the down side, the much vaunted club Turismo 35 does not live up to expectations! They wanted to see passports before they let people in, but ironically the place was crawling with 12yr olds! Apparently kids are allowed in although they can't order alcohol but this is silly cos older perverts were ordering drinks for them! Overall the hotel and the resort get a thumbs up.

09.09.2003 Tara (UK) Forgot to say, make sure you go to Gringo Joe's. Its a brilliant english run pub that sells english food (pg tips and proper sausages) for the morning after ;-) and downstairs later in the evening there's the White Horse which is a little small but its well worth the visit.

01.06.2003 Brad (Texas) This hotel is not close to Barcelona, it's noisy, the staff is not helpful, and it is far up the hill from the beach. I was not impressed and felt duped by the advertisement.

12.06.2002 Tara (Crawley England) It is a very loud hotel the walls are paper thin but other than that everything else was brilliant. The beach is very close, about a five minute walk. I was very pleased the the whole atmosphere and will certainly be going again.

29.05.2002 Veronica (US) The picture makes it look like it's on the beach but it's not, it's about a mile or two away. And if you don't like noisy hotels don't stay there, it was very noisy while I stayed there.
