hey guys..my stay in this hotel was absalutly possitivly crap, i would rate it a minus 1 star. there was cellulite hanging from the ceiling and you could sniff the stuble of the floor boards. it was a very interesting stay and felt like no animal on this earth i think i was an alien

We really liked the city, its the most beautiful city Ive ever seen. But that old guy in the reception at night time was the biggest *** ive ever met, hed never smile at ya, say goodnite or anything, plus hed give you a key without asking for yer name! thats not secure at all! somebody could just come in and rob all your stuff, but the rest of the staff was really friendly, the rooms and that were clean, so my only complaints go to that asshole whos there at nite, he should be fired!

The staff were extremely moody but we got extreme pleasure from coming in drunk and singing England songs to the receptionist we named c**t. The neighbours were pleasant and we enjoyed our games of throwing objects at them like batteries and empty San Miguel bottles. Anyway peace out. "WALBRIN"! Yours Mr Chin x

If you are going to the Roma Reial, don't listen to the BORES who are complaining about the service, the towel rails or the noise. This hotel is perfect for anyone out for a good time, the only 'problem' was trying to have a snooze in the evening between one drinking session and the next. Take ear plugs you boring B******S. Perfect location, clean, cheap. What more could you want?

The Hotel Roma Reial was exactly what we anticipated from the reviews. It's in a great location (so long as you're careful not to go wandering down those dark side alleys at night!). It was clean, tidy, and well run. You can walk to many places like the port, theatres, museums, right from the hotel. Cafes and restaurants are close by. The square outside can be noisy at night because of the many nightclubs nearby. So long as you're prepared for that it's OK. We'll stay there again next time we go to Barcelona.

I did NOT find the rooms very comfortable nor clean - our bathroom (room 106) was a disgrace! The towelrack was dirty and was almost falling off the wall, and no one had cleaned behind the bidet for a LONG time. I realize that this is a budget hotel, and the location is very good, but I have stayed in nicer hostales and hotels in central Barcelona for less money, and will not go to Roma Reial again.

We were extremely disappointed with the service and attitude of the staff at this hotel - we had requested specifically a double bed, and received a room with 4 single beds - for 5 days. The staff couldnt care less, and because we had already paid, we couldnt leave and find a more suitable hotel. Apart from that, the location was good, but noisy at night.

i, unlike the others havent been to the hotel yet as such, but the others views all sound similar, im kinda anxious now wen we go on our school trip to barcelona, as im used to 3-5 star hotels as snobbish as that sounds. however i will give it a proper review after the trip iin february!

The stay was fantastic, it definitely is one of the most beautiful cities I've been too. The accommodation was clean and ideally situated and certainly ample for it's 1 star rating. Some of the staff could do with being a bit friendlier though and it was a bit warm whilst we were there (can't fault the weather though)! When we plan our next trip please be assured I will be trying your organisation again as the level of service has been excellent.

Hotel was in a lovely area very central, rooms far to hot with only one small fan, If you are planning on going there watch your valubles as our group had money srolen fron their rooms after they handed their keys in when they went out for the day.

28.07.2003 Emma (England)
I had a Brill time, but the rooms are VERY HOT! we had to leave the door, window and fan on all night. The bathrooms were very nice! Reception was VERY clean. The Water machine NEVER works, and the meals for the evening were YUCK! The lift is ALWAYZ broken. But the holiday was AMAZIN! If ur out most of the time itz a great holiday.

I didn't believe any of the reviews before i went, but during our stay last week we realised that they are all correct! Our room was so hot and didn't have a fan so we slept with the balcony door open all night and got woken up periodically because of all the noise and smashing of glasses at 5.30am! The staff are miserable and don't want to help. If you're on a school/college trip the food in the evenings is crap so eat out!!!

i havent been yet but it sounds great and who cares what its like your mostly out anyway having fun!!

16.07.2003 Hannah Townsend and Amy Marklew (Winchester, UK)
The hotel rooms were probably the smallest i have ever seen, the bins were dirty when we arrived, the hotel manager was arrogant b****** and the spanish men were purvs. Although the hotel was situated right in the centre of Barcelona. Bring your own bowls for ceral as your find that you will have to eat out of cups! Also there was no fan in our room which was unbearably hot. A great hol i must say!!!

03.07.2003 clair (england)
bearing in mind it is a one star hotel its okay - superbly located but small fairly uncomfortable rooms, unfriendly staff, good place just to crash which is all you need in the middle of a fabulaous city.

23.06.2003 Tom (Leeds)
Great location, though it must be said that our room was on the top floor and had no fan inside it and consequently was unbearably hot. Sleep was fitful and our three night stay was not enjoyable because of this, outside it was 38C which was cooler than inside our room. I would advise any potential guest to be aware that the air conditioned reception is significantly nicer than the rest of the hotel. Nine out of ten for location, zero out of ten for comfort.

Hotel was basic but clean and comfortable in an excellent location just off La Rambla. A buffet in the dining room provided a good breakfast. However, the security in the hotel is appaling. No guest name or identification is asked for when getting your key to return to your room and my mobile phone was stolen out of my hand by a f**king a**hole loitering in the lobby at 2am who was a local. Why are theives allowed to enter the hotel if they are not staying there????

Our stay in Barcelona from 22nd to 25th Jan was to say the least wonderful Your city is beautiful. As regards our hotel, it was very conveniently placed, perfectly adequate facilities, very hospitable, and we shall be using it again. Thanks to Sasha Hotels efficient service and to Roma Real for helping make our visit so enjoyable. Gracias. Adios.

The location was brilliant, very central. The foyer looks great, but the rooms were very basic, and the beds weren't particularly comfortable. Some of the staff were very helpful and friendly, others were decidedly unfriendly.

The location was brilliant, very central. The foyer looks great, but the rooms were very basic, and the beds weren't particularly comfortable. Some of the staff were very helpful and friendly, others were decidedly unfriendly. Most of the other guests were groups from schools etc., which meant there was a lot of noise, especially at night, and definitely a hostel rather than hotel feel.

23.05.2002 Monica (Florida)
The hotel location was great it was in the center of all the action. It was near some great restaurants. However, there's no soap in the bathroom, so bring your own. The room was really, really small, but the vending machine sells beer downstair. The guy at the hotel counter (concierge) was unpleasant. The beds were not that confortable. Other than that the trip was ok.

30.04.2002 Shellsy (Chelmsford, Essex)
Very plain rooms, but clean and enough space. Bathroom very clean. Location is fantastic, couldn't have been closer to the action.

20.02.2002 Alain (France)
this hotel has everything you need plus a great location!
