Great hotel! Concierge was very helpful when I was pick pocketed at Baja Beach! Which leads me onto warn you to be extremely cautious when travelling this beautiful city! Rooms are cleaned daily! But as it has been stated in many of the other rooms it can be a little noisy from the kids playing until the early hours of the morning. Also this is hotel is situated in the red light district so you may want to think twice before coming with your family! But all in all- it is in a great location and I way very satisified with my stay here!

14.06.2004 Tom M. (Illinois, USA)
A wonderful, small hotel on the edge of a real Barcelona neighborhood but still within 10 easy minutes of the Ramblas and other attractions. The staff was professional and courteous, the breakfast gave us a boost for the first half of the day, and the room itself was pleasant. I would give this 3 1/2 stars out of 4--maybe even 4 on a really good day.

19.04.2004 Maja Dandanell (Denmark)
The hotel was nice, clean and situated very centrally. And the bus was waiting for us and knew exactely were to go.

16.02.2004 Nic (Geneva)
Nice service, no frills. Can be a bit noisy. Good value

27.12.2003 Ros Bernabeu (Buckinghamshire)
Clean and friendly hotel but very noisy both inside and outside. People running around shouting at 3AM. Very good central location though, near tubes and shops.

21.11.2003 fransoo (belgium)
rooms were clean but breakfast could have been much better for this price : fresh juice, fresh fruits, bread ...

04.11.2003 Nikki Dawson (UK)
Over priced for a basic room, but good location. Breakfast not too good.

28.10.2003 Jo (England)
This hotel was not really to my expectations. The good points were that it was clean and the room was spacious, the downside... it was noisey. The description given that the rooms were equipped with a minibar and hairdryer was incorrect and the actual distance from the Ramblas was a 10 to 15 mins walk although the location was fine. Had a great time in Barcelona and would definitely return. Maybe not the Rhonda.

01.10.2003 Jeff (USA)
This hotel had thin walls and very small room/bathroom. I would call this 2 star rather than 3 star. It was overpriced at $125/night, but the location was good.

24.09.2003 Lilian (Holland)
Verry nice Hotel, nearby the centre. Verry good breakfastbuffet. If we return to Barcelona we wil stay at Hotel Ronda!!!!!!

18.09.2003 megumian (Japan)
The location was really convinient. People there were friendly and we had a very good time!

16.09.2003 Anders Holmberg (Sweden)
Our conference trip to Barcelona was very successful and all participants enjoyed their stay very much. Everything proceeded very smooth and without hassles. We had booked conference rooms at hotel H10 Gravina a few blocks away. Everything was prepared to our wishes and the service was very friendly. For everyone except myself it was their first visit to Barcelona, and they were very impressed. No one had anything to complain about at hotel Ronda, the location was excellent for example. As if this was not enough we were also lucky with the weather, the forecasts spoke about clouds and scattered showers with thunder but during our stay it was sunny most of the time and very hot! I would not hesitate a second to using your services again in the future.

07.08.2003 Linda and Fred (USA)
The room was quite small, we are not used to sleeping in twin beds! Not very sound proof. The air conditioning worked better then some of the more expensive hotels. Great location, close to most sights. Thanks Rhonda!

16.06.2003 S. Davies (London)
I found hotel very good, rooms were comfortable and it was great to have air conditioning, they were clean and beds were made every day. The staff were very friendly and the hotel bar was really good, nice to come back after an evening out and be able to have a relaxing drink. Would definitely stay here again.

11.06.2003 Jessica & Pascal (Amsterdam)
Comfortable room, nothing too fancy. The hotel does have thin walls, but earplugs are not a necessity. Just party hard and sleep harder afterwards. The Raval-area behind the hotel has some pretty trendy bars and restaurants to offer. Location definitely convenient.

09.06.2003 Rebecca (Leeds)
A clean and friendly hotel. Great location 2 min. from metro although we tended to walk from the hotel to the various sights visited. The room was rather small but this was not a problem.

05.06.2003 Lennart Lilja (Karlskrona, Sweden)
Thanks for a nice stay in Barcelona. The room was nice and tidy, and the best ting is that the hotel is located near to everything in city.

28.05.2003 Alex Stocks (England)
We had an absolutely fantastic time. 9 hours sleep in 3 nights. Most of us did not go to bed until the early hours of the morning, so the hotel beds were very inviting at that time and very comfortable. The hotel was very clean, the bar area a good meeting point and the daily continental breakfast were lovely. The daytime receptionists were really helpful and checking in and out with 16 girls was made painless. It was a bit far to walk to the Ramblas but taxis where cheap enough.

26.05.2003 Karen Miesikowski (UK)
The hotel was great. The perfect location for a hen party. I was impressed by the standard of the rooms. Standard but clean and welcoming. The reception/bar staff were very pleasant and always willing to help. Cant comment on breakfast I didn't make it all weekend.

18.05.2003 Mandy & Tony (Northumberland)
Good, basic, clean & friendly hotel in an excellent location,we would use it again.

15.05.2003 Andy (New Zealand (living in London))
The rooms are adequate and clean, although our bathroom was a bit unclean. But its location is ideal for exploring central Barcelona: La Rambla, Barri Gotic and the port. It is also very close to the trendy bars of Ravel.

07.05.2003 Gary & Tina (Cleethorpes)
On the whole the hotel was value for money but we found the bed too hard and the room a little small (compared to the other rooms we saw). The staff were not very friendly but we never stayed any length of timein the hotel each day. Will try some where else next time.

06.05.2003 Phil & Denise (Nottingham, England)
Good, clean Hotel with friendly staff situated within walking distance of the Ramblas. Convinient for Metro stations and there are some excellent tapas bars and restaraunts nearby. Would certainly use it again.

01.05.2003 Laura and Neil (Manchester)
The service at the hotel was good. The room was nice. However the location was not the best, especially considering the price. Also we were surprised at the noise levels at the hotel during the night (for 5 nights, it was apparent this is the norm!) Having come from a youth hostel previously where the service had been excellent this amazed us. The hotel was full of loud groups, who at no time were asked to be quiet by hotel staff. As young people we are used to noise, however this was too much for even us. We wouldnt recommend this hotel (That is of course unless you are part of a loud group!!!).

23.04.2003 Mats (Sweden)
The best is the location of the hotel. The pictures of the hotel lies a bit. You hear your nieghburs to much. Nice personel and you are not in Barcelona to be inside a hotel so it was okey to stay there.

22.04.2003 Richard Spalding (London)
We had a fantastic weekend in Barcelona. The hotel was perfect for the needs of a stag party of 12 lads - centrally located, clean, offering great value for money. As you'd expect we actually spent very little time in the hotel (though we enjoyed a number of beers in the welcoming bar), but the service from the staff was very good and they accommodated us perfectly. Cheers.

16.04.2003 Brian Murphy (Cork, Ireland)
We stayed three nights and my parents stayed five nights. On entering the hotel you can see that it was very basic but clean, but the Receptionist was very welcoming which was a nice start. The rooms were standard, and the breakfast was quite nice. However on the second evening there were new guests in the hotel and were quite noisey in that they were running wild thru the corridors whistling, howling and banging on doors including ours. We complained on our way to dinner and assured that it would stop, that they were students and a bit hyper, that night the group did not make much noise but there was just one of their party constantly wolf whistling and banging on doors, which as you can imagine is very annoying when you are trying to sleep. The following night it was worst in that all the students were participating in the noise making and it was like a school yard so we got no sleep. As this was our last night and the fact that my parents had two more nights I was quite upset leaving them alone, I had even contemplated moving them to another hotel. My parents last two nights were terrible they got absolutely no sleep and the hotel did nothing about it. They spoke to other guests at breakfast and they had complained also but got no satisfaction. We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona but its sad that our first visited was blackened by a bad hotel experience. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE RECOMMENDING HOTEL RONDA TO ANYONE ELSE.

15.04.2003 Phill from Pinner (Pinner, Middlesex)
A very pleasant hotel in a reasonably pleasant and safe area. It was also away from the more frantic busstle of the Ramlas, so no disturbed sleep at 4PM It was very clean, the bedrooms were a little small but more than adequate, with a pleasant bathroom and very comfortable beds. Good basic buffet breakfast, big enough not to need lunch. It is not stuated as close to The Ramblas and Port area as the description hints at, but a cheap - Euro 5, cab ride, a short tube ride or a 15 min walk The underground system was easy to use and, with the University station within a 4 min walk The hotel was ideal for our sightseeing trip to the City. I would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little comfort.

02.04.2003 Hilda Moffat (Dumbarton, Scotland, UK.)
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Ronda. The room was very clean and pleasant. Breakfasts became a bit boring after the second day - the usual cereal, crossaints, bread a bit stale, and the usual ham and cheese. It was however plentiful and enough to keep us going! The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The only draw-back to the hotel was the fact that it was full of teenagers from (we think) Italian schools, who were particularly noisy when they came in during the night. They did not cause any trouble, but)f or oldies like us, the sudden bangs and loud voices during the night did disturb our sleep. However, on the whole the hotel was very central for all our needs and I would recommend it (as long as loud teenagers don't trouble you!) We really loved Barcelona and would certainly visit it again.

02.03.2003 Ross (London)
Room was clean and modern but a bit cold - no heating and mid winter! Staff were very helpful with extra blankets. Breakfast was okay. Hotel was a bit noisy but probably worth it for location - good for Las Ramblas and a few other sites. Generally satisfied with choice. A slightly noisy basic, modern clean but cold, friendly hotel.

02.03.2003 Pete + Pat (Wolverhampton(yep I Know!))
Did what it said on the tin! Location was really good. Only problem was the tiled floors/walls made every sound carry and some noisy inconsiderate guests (us Brits excel again) let the side down

16.02.2003 ken yates (halifax, england)
great location, but very noisy. basic, simple rooms.

28.01.2003 Hein (The Netherlands)
Location: Great! Price: good Room: clean Instructions: huh? Minibar: huh? Beds: too small Noise: too much Breakfast: louzy Personnel: desk friendly and ok, maids rush into the rooms.... And believe it or not: we had a good time there! ;-)

27.01.2003 Beccy (North Wales)
The hotel was great - our room was pretty big and simply but pleasantly furnished . The whole building was very clean and well maintained and the staff we encountered were all exceptionally cheerful and helpful. Breakfast is hardly worth getting out of bed for but the hotel gets bonus points for giving you free, fresh popcorn with every round of drinks in the bar! Hotel Ronda is in a good position, about 10 minutes walk along a main road from the top of La Ramblas and the Placa de Catalunya, from where you can catch a tour bus, train or the Metro. We had a great time in Barcelona and we'd definitely stay at this hotel again.

10.01.2003 j.crevaux (DØsseldorf - Germany)
This hotel can be recommended though there were no hair-dryer and no mini -bar in our room . The staff - most philippines - was very friendly .

09.01.2003 Shelley (Cape Town, South Africa)
Nice hotel, good location & decent prices. Few problems with the plumbing though!

03.01.2003 crime (italy)
really nice city...about the hotel well i don't think that "superior tourist class hotel "is a good definition for it..i mean the hotel was very noisy and it was difficult to sleep ,staff not really friendly good position easy walking to the centre and to the underground station.Definatly would not going back there ...too expensive for the service.breakfast is missable.

19.12.2002 Rosalind Cullinan (Liverpool,England.)
We loved our stay in Barcelona and we thought your hotel was lovely. We would definatley stay again.

16.12.2002 Jane (Surrey)
Hotel excellently situated for major sights and nearby metro station makes it easy to get around. However, the hotel is extremely noisy. Constant banging of doors, noise of others' flushing toilets and refuse collection (I mean big lorries!) at 11pm and 3am most nights made it extremely difficult to get a good night's sleep. Staff mostly very friendly and room clean. Breakfasts unimaginative (dry bread or dry croissants) and evening menu ok only if you like chips with everything! On the whole good but take your earplugs and be prepared to eat elsewhere! A note of warning about security. Barcelona is a great city but do use the safe in your room as we know of two muggings within our 4 day trip to Barcelona and one was right outside the hotel.

10.12.2002 Seamus (Dublin, Ireland)
Great hotel for location. Easy to get to from the airport and close to all of the attractions. However, the hotel was very noisy and it was difficult to sleep at times.

05.12.2002 Kevin (Wisbech, Cambs, England)
Hotel very clean, staff extremely helpful and friendly. A brilliant weekend all round. Restaurant, although clean was limited in choice. Would definately use it again - staff could not have been more helpful

30.11.2002 Sharon (Northern Ireland)
Barcelona was fantastic, although the hotel room was quite disappointing, the double rooms are very very small, and it took two days to fix our toilet which wasnt flushing! I'd go back to Barcelona but not to the Ronda.

25.11.2002 Patricia Ho Fat (London, UK)
Excellent hotel, good value, location walking distance to the centre, Rambles and Catulunya. Well recommended.

25.11.2002 Hans van Vliet (Aalsmeer The Netherlands)
Location convenient Room ok, but the noise of flowing water of toilets and showers from adjacent rooms did not contribute to our sleep. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant should improve the preparation of the food. All dishes served were only luke warm.

22.11.2002 Bexter (Maghull)
Hotel was very nice, alot smaller than i imagined but very clean and tidy. Found the staff at times a little abrupt. Enjoyed my stay at Barcelona, would definetly go back again but would not return back to this Hotel. Hotel was in an ideal area though, not too noisey and not too far from the rambles.

21.11.2002 Rosemarie Bryson (Dublin, Ireland)
There was a mix up with the booking where the hotel did not make the booking until the morning of our arrival at which time the hotel was booked out. The situation was dealt with very well and we were relocated to a 4 star hotel at no extra cost. No problem with the service.

20.11.2002 Sara (UK)
we had a lovely time. The staff at the hotel were great and very helpful. The hotel was very good.

17.11.2002 Steve and Maggie Pearcy (Scotland)
We found the hotel very conveniently situated. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful - it was a really good idea having a safe in the room. We loved our stay in Barcelona.

13.11.2002 Nicola Anderson (UK)
Everybody enjoyed their stay in Barcelona and the hotel was excellent. We are hoping to go back again soon.

12.11.2002 Sandra and Don (Toronto)
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean accommodations. Breakfast was not bad.

10.11.2002 James (Calgary)
I loved Barcelona and the location of this hotel was perfect for me, a little quieter than the Ramblas area. The Metro system is very easy and goes everywhere. Rooms in Europe and beds in Europe are small. With that as a given, I stayed twice at the Ronda. Staff were friendly and helpful. Elevator worked most of the time. The hotel was clean and inviting. The rooms were spartan but very clean. The first room (6 nights)had a balcony, and was very pleasant and quiet. The second room (1 night) had a window onto an internal open air alcove area and was only acceptable because my stay was short. Longer and it would have been too small. I would return, asking for a room with a balcony. Breakfast is the same as most places in this price range. Hope you like croissants.

09.11.2002 Chris Webb (UK)
The service you provided was excellent, you helped us with our every need and query. The Hotel Rhonda was Clean, comfortable and took care of us very well with Food at the Bar and drinks whenever we needed. I would deffinately recommend you to anyone and I have to say have never had a continental breakfast with such a variety of food. Checking in and out the hotel was fast and hassle free. During the weekend we met other people that also booked with yourselves and they commented how good your service was. Many thanks to you and all your staff. Regards Chris Webb

29.10.2002 Lianne (Manchester, England)
Room was quite small however very clean. Maid tidied room well each day and all staff were very friendly. Takes approx. 10 mins to walk to top of Las Ramblas. Would stay again.

29.10.2002 Alberto (San Francisco)
Good location, easy to get around. Friendly reception staff. Smallish but adequate room. Inexpensive, fast internet down the street. All in all, enjoyable stay.

28.10.2002 Kathryn and Simon (UK)
We found the hotel clean, comfortable and very convenient.

19.10.2002 louise (glasgow)
Don't be put off by the area - this hotel is in a good location for Ramblas, museums, banks, buses and metro. We felt quite safe at night, and ventured down the street between the banks, thereby cutting a good bit off the walk to the Ramblas. Room was very clean, breakfast was basic buffet-style,as much as you can eat! Now that we know Barcelona a little bit, we know that we made a good choice, and would go back.

16.10.2002 Trudy (Dunstable, England)
Room was spacious and nicely furnished. Hotel staff friendly and room was cleaned every day. Only downside was it was quite noisy on the first floor (above kitchen)

11.10.2002 Wade Scheuerman (Dallas, Texas, USA)
The hotel was conviently located near everything

11.10.2002 Mr & Mrs John Neligan (Gravesend, Kent, England)
Very nice, clean hotel, with friendly and helpful staff.

07.10.2002 Andy (Stevenage, England)
Stayed at this particular hotel in September 2002.The room was spacious overall comfortable and clean.A 5-10 min walk to the Ramblas etc.A good all round base for the sight seeker, only downside it is base on the corner of 2 side streets and a small square, the noise on some evenings and well into 4am was very loud at times. Would return and would recommmend.

06.10.2002 Becki (Springfield, New Jersey)
We just came back from staying at this hotel. I was not at all impressed. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bathrooms were very antiquated. The add claimed it was "steps from La Ramblas (the main street)", we found it to be a 15 minute walk which my parents, who are older found the walk to be difficult. Let's not forget how noisey the rooms were. You could hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms and the outside was very noisey too. I would not stay here again :0(

01.10.2002 reboul pierre (nice, france)
Very well situated hotel, located in the great heart of the city, you would find around all restaurants and discos "in". Rooms are comfortables and clean.

29.09.2002 Connie (RI, USA)
The Ronda was a very good choice. It was well within walking distance to Placa Catalunya (and therefore, most everything else)even for someone with an arthritic knee! We never felt nervous about safety, even late at night, but we did walk back through Placa Universitad instead of tiny alleys. The staff was very helpful in recommending places to eat, etc.

26.09.2002 Kerry & Lee (Northampton, England)
Good, clean, budget hotel. Good A/C and location has good bars near modern museum not far away. Basic breaky but good. Great City!

26.09.2002 bram (toronto, canada)
clean hotel with sparse but sufficient rooms and good location. it was good value for the price. staff very friendly and helpful. beds were a little hard but you shouldn't go to barcelona to sleep anyways

25.09.2002 Lisa (England)
Room was clean, beds very comfortable, staff very helpful, breakfasts missable.

24.09.2002 Steve and Gene (Memphis, Tennessee)
Great little hotel and just what we were looking to find. I will be sure to stay there when I visit Barcelona again. Count us as two very satisfied guests.

24.09.2002 Jack (San Diego)
We found the hotel to be as represented. The personnel were very helpful and courteous. We did find the hotel to have poor or no sound insullation in the walls, and the quests arriving late at night were very noisy

18.09.2002 Mike (USA)
Hotel Ronda was a fine hotel for the budget traveler. The room was a great price and in a good location. The room was very clean. It was a bit noisy at night within the hotel and outside on the street, but all in all, worth the price.

18.09.2002 Felicity Stone (Canada)
The hotel was a little hard to find as the street is very tiny. Once we got there, though, they found a room for us immediately even though it was before check-in time. The hotel is attractively decorated and very clean and efficient. Our ensuite was large with a bathtub, sink, bidet and dual-flush toilet. The rooms had air conditioning/heat that could be controlled by the occupant. Downstairs is a decent restaurant/bar open from noon until nearly midnight. The staff was helpful and efficient, and the metro station conveniently close.

13.09.2002 Michael (UK)
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good central location. Quite noisy.

11.09.2002 Alison & Craig (London)
The hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. It is slightly off the beaten track but is a safe walk if you keep to the main roads.

29.08.2002 Colin (Westmidlands, England)
Very good location, clean hotel with friendly staff. A/C & car-park a real bonus for me. Would recommend to others and stay here again.

22.08.2002 rune (norway)
A good hotel, offering great value for money. No problem recommending it.

22.08.2002 Ian (Glasgow)
Very nice, clean hotel. Good A/C and room was cleaned thoroughly every day. Good location - short walk from Placa de Catalyuna and the top of the Ramblas.

22.08.2002 Ian (Glasgow)
Great hotel, very clean, great location - 5 mins from top of ramblas and even closer to Universitat metro. Staff were very pleasant, room was cleaned thoroughly each day - no complaints.

19.08.2002 lb (USA)
The hotel was fine, clean and the staff very friendly. Though the neighborhood is not great at night, so I would not recommend it for a single woman travelling alone.

30.07.2002 carl (canada)
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff where very nice and helpful. My room was great, and the neigborhood was perfect for me.

15.06.2002 Eliot (United States)
We found the Ronda to be a good value. It's nicely located on the edge of the Barri Gotic, convenient to the subway, to the top of the Ramblas, and a number of local services. The staff was always friendly and helpful. It's off the street so it was pretty quiet. Recommended.

19.05.2002 joan (England)
Nice hotel. Nice position. handy that it has a car park.

08.04.2002 Jo (London )
Everything we needed from a hotel - it was basic but very clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

16.02.2002 Paul (uk)
great hotel at a great price!
